Eric Erdmann was a freshman on the first University of Mary Men’s Basketball team to compete as a member of the Northern Sun (NSIC) and the NCAA. Eric grew into a prolific scorer and a cornerstone player on the only Marauders squad to qualify for the NCAA tournament.

Erdmann, a two-time All-State Player at Fargo North High School joined the Marauders in the fall of 2006 and led the Marauders with 11.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-5 forward grew into one of the top players in the NSIC as a sophomore, scoring 22 points in a signature win over the eighth ranked St. Cloud State University and earning All-Conference       Second Team Honors after again leading the Marauders in scoring (14.1 points per game) and rebounding (4.8 rebounds per game). After missing a season with an injury, Erdmann rebounded in 2009-2010 and joined forces with Head Coach Randall Herbst and Guard Anthony Moody to lead the Marauders to their first winning record of the NCAA era at 15-13, scoring 16.7 points per game and grabbing team best 6.0 rebounds per game to earn All-NSIC 2nd team honors again.

In a storybook senior season, Erdmann and the Marauders posted an NCAA era program-best record of 23-6 overall and 18-4 in league play that included a 16-game winning streak and a national ranking. Also, Erdmann was part of the Northern Sun All Academic Team in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
